Daniel Seman, CPA, CFE, ACI; Director of ALPS Risk &
Insurance Services
Dan is a 1988 graduate from the University of Montana with a
B.S. degree in accounting and is a licensed certified public
accountant in Montana. Dan is also a certified financial examiner
through the Society of Financial Examiners and recently earned the
Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) from the International Center
for Captive Insurance Education. Before joining ALPS in 1997 in its
financial accounting department, Dan started his insurance career
as a financial examiner with the Montana Insurance Department in
1990 conducting field and office financial examinations of admitted
and foreign insurers. Before assuming leadership of ALPS Risk &
Insurance Services, Dan served as statutory accountant and
controller for over nine years at ALPS. Dan is a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Montana Society
of Certified Public Accountants, Society of Financial Examiners and
International Center for Captive Insurance Education.
Matt Lubaroff, ALPS Director of Client Services
Matt joined ALPS in December of 2008 to direct our Client
Services department. Prior to joining ALPS, Matt served as a
Training Manager for DIRECTV, specializing in improving the
customer experience and in leadership development. Matt has over 10
years leadership experience; having worked as Director of Customer
Service Training for FTD.com, Training & Quality Manager for
Charter Communications, Operations Manager for US Bank, and
Competitive Programs Manager for Hewlett Packard. He has his
Bachelor's Degree from Northwestern University and his M.B.A. in
Marketing and Finance from the University of Iowa. Matt and his
wife moved to Missoula in 2006, where they had their first child in
January of 2008.
Todd Points, Director of Sales/ALPS Health Solutions
Todd Points graduated from the College of Idaho in 1997,
receiving a B.A. degree in Business Administration. Before
joining ALPS, Todd served as the Vice President of Three Rivers
Life, LLC. He spent three years developing the Life &
Health business for Three Rivers Agency. Based in Boise, Todd
joined ALPS to help create and launch the Idaho Lawyer Benefit
Plan, and continues to service that area of ALPS business.
Along with other members of the ALPS team, Todd helped develop and
launch the Wyoming Lawyers Health Benefit Plan.
Kate Cortright, Account Manager
Kate graduated from the University of Montana in 2003 with a
bachelor's degree in Human Biological Sciences. Since joining ALPS
in the spring of 2004 she became a licensed property, casualty,
surety, life and health producer in the State of Montana. In 2006
she completed a Certificate in General Insurance from the Insurance
Institute of America.
As an account manager for ALPS Risk Retention Group she procures
and manages over 500 client accounts on an annual basis. Kate
represents ALPS at various state bar conventions and events. She
also is the account manager for the ALPS Specialty Market Program
working directly with reinsurance companies and brokers to secure
coverage for adverse or hard to place risks. Additionally she has
been involved with other projects within ALPS such as captive
insurance company development. Since 2010 Kate has been involved
with ALPS Health Solutions in the development, sales and account
management of the Wyoming Lawyers Health Benefit Plan.
When not in the office Kate can usually be found seeking the
many adventures Western Montana and beyond has to offer. She is a
licensed EMT-basic with an emphasis on backcountry emergency
medicine.
Lawrence King, Account Manager
Joining ALPS in 2005, Lawrence King has worked in the insurance
industry for the past seven years. He has developed relationships
with ALPS attorney policyholders, managing approximately 500
accounts annually across Idaho, North Dakota, Arizona, Colorado,
New Hampshire and New Mexico. He is also involved in the account
management of ALPS Health Solutions and the Idaho Lawyer Benefit
Plan.
Prior to joining the ALPS team, Lawrence worked in the food
service industry for 30 years, including managing his own
restaurant specializing in Cajun cuisine. He attended Georgetown
University for two years. Lawrence is married and is the father of
three boys. He has coached Little League baseball for 10 years as
well as youth football and AAU basketball for six years.
